They also loved nature and after Lynn obtained an agricultural diploma, the couple moved to Auvergne in order to pursue their dreams of restoring a beautiful little bed and breakfast, which they were obviously totally in love with.
It’s a magical sort of place, one made for escaping the city stresses, and if you’re into great food that’s a further plus point for a stay here. Fantastic wines, breads and cheeses, pastries are just the starters. We won’t get started on the main courses at dinner.
The renovation we mentioned was painstaking but truly worth it and included installing on-suite bathrooms in each of the bedrooms. One of the outbuildings that housed horse-drawn carriages in the 19th century was also transformed into beautiful pool area (see the picture to see what we mean).
All these and other touches have produced an end result that can be described as a great mix of genteel atmosphere and luxury, inside and outside the house, whether the immediate surroundings or further afield. The spa town of Vichy, for example, is only ten minutes away.
